At the Michael Griffin State Farm Agent office, we proudly serve Dickson City, Scranton, Dunmore, Clarks Summit, Moosic, Jessup, Carbondale, and Greenfield Township, just to name a few! We are also licensed to help communities across Lackawanna County and throughout the state of Pennsylvania.

You’ll find our office in the iconic big blue State Farm building right near the Main Avenue exit off Interstate 81 in the Scranton area.

With nearly 25 years of experience in the State Farm family—including 23 1⁄2 years as an agent and time spent as a Life Specialist Representative—I bring a deep understanding of Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, and Life Insurance backed by real-world experience. My journey actually started when I was 17 years old and needed my own auto policy. I remember meeting with a State Farm agent and thinking, “That’s a job I’d love to have someday.” It took about 15 years of hard work, but I eventually made that goal a reality. That experience still shapes how I work today, especially when helping young drivers and first-time insurance customers who are navigating these decisions for the first time.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with State Farm customers at every stage of life, from starting out with auto insurance to protecting homes with home insurance and preparing families for the future with life insurance. I take a straightforward, down-to-earth approach to these conversations because I believe insurance should feel approachable—not overwhelming. I’m proud to be part of this community both personally and professionally. My wife Angela and I have lived our lives here since getting married the same year I became a State Farm agent. We’re raising two sons—one attending Misericordia University to become a teacher and the other pursuing his passion for culinary arts. When I’m not in the office, you’ll likely find me running outdoors, gardening, working on our family farm, or spending time hunting and snowmobiling with my boys.

Giving back to our community is also important to me. I actively support local youth and school organizations, collaborate with veteran groups, and volunteer with scouting programs, where I’ve served as a committee chair and helped organize events and fundraising efforts over the years.
